WHO I AM

A jewel or a work can be pleasant to admire, I want it to be also intense to touch.

Art, for me, is not only contemplation, it is tactile experience, contact and relationship between the one who creates and the one who owns.

My wearable creations are miniature sculptures: surfaces to explore with the fingers, volumes that converse with the skin, forms that change depending on light and movement.

Each work is unrepeatable, by nature. Only that creative moment exists, that specific matter, that precise gesture. Nothing can be remade exactly the same, because nothing is born twice in the same way.

MATTER AS LANGUAGE

I grew up breathing in the world of metalworking.
My father's workshop was my first laboratory, the workbench my first school before artistic studies, drawing, modeling.

Over the years I chose to deepen and preserve ancient techniques of the goldsmith and silversmith tradition applied to artistic expression:

repoussé, chasing on sheet and casting, hammer work.

Hand finishes with traditional tools.

Every tool leaves a mark. Every mark tells the time devoted to the work.

Alongside metalworking, I also personally care for the stones: I use diamond wheels and polishing tools to obtain cuts and finishes that are not standardized, but designed to dialogue with the overall form of the work. Material and color weave their peculiarities with the form.

I do not seek industrial perfection, I seek character.

MY CREATIVE PROCESS

From raw material to the work.

Each creation begins from a sheet, from a wire, from a block of matter.

Through: the slow pressure of repoussé, the precision of the chisel,

the alchemical transformation of casting, the rhythm of the hammer, matter takes shape.

Surfaces are never random: they are conceived to be crossed by light and perceived by touch.
Stones too are shaped so that they have a personality of their own, with cuts and reflections that do not belong to serial production.

The result is a balance between strength and delicacy, between structure and movement.

TACTILE SCULPTURES
I use different materials, such as wood, metal, stone, plastic and any other material or color that allows me to express my emotions.
The aim is to create sculptures in the wake of tactilism that, with their forms and different materials, can convey exclusive sensations. They are born to be touched, brushed and observed; they constitute a tactile and visual experience, subjective.
The dimensions vary: works born to be held in the hands, and to call to mind unique emotions given by visual contact and the simultaneous use of the sense of  touch;  larger works with their own dimensional impact in the placement environment, which can be admired or touched to draw distinct emotions.

Buying one of my works means choosing an object with soul, time and history.
